Smile weeds on the bottom

so I noticed my lake is starting to get this small green slimy vegetation on the bottom

is that a good thing or a bad thing?

I know hydrilla is usually bad news, but this stuff might draw insects and other invertebrates for the fish to feed on.

Ima wake up @ 7 and see what I can get... water's getting cold and the wind is pickin' up!

thanks,

sea

Hydrilla is not bad news, Toledo Bend is full of it. The stuff you'r talking about is like "nose snot" and yes it's hard to fish with out getting your bait fouled up,especially a worm or any bait that has to be worked on the bottum.
Currently we have a lake that is down because of the slime that your talkin about in an effort to delete it.

Yeah drilla is awesome for working worms through- Unfortunately a lot of good lakes here in FL with the water so low, it gets out of control pretty badly. Lake Rousseau for instance is great, but even in the channels it's too crowded with the stuff

I guess like anything else, in moderation it's good
