Which would look better........
behind this truck? A kayak hanging from the bed or a 19'-20' Bass Cat?
At least I have an option for the Kitty now that I have a truck. I sold the 01 Wrangler and I was very sad to see it go. I bought her new, and we had a lot of fun in that Jeep. A lot of time, blood, sweat, and tears in it too. Time to save the pennies for that Kitty now, but maybe I will get a kayak to bide my time. Tony |

Nice looking truck. I doubt you could go wrong with either item behind the truck. So get them both

Thats a sweet truck, but as is required of me as a Jeeper, I sent an E-Mail to the Jeep Gods that you abandoned ship. They will be finding you soon...
I wish they would take a Dodge Ram, Jeep it up real good (ala Nitro/Liberty, Caliber/Patriot, Durango/Grand Cherokee) and call it the Jeep J-20 |

Too late, I already called them. They told me I was welcome back when that Jeep Gladiator comes out (if it ever comes out). Jeeps are special in so many ways, i am going to miss her. |

You could have always turned your TJ into a Brute with a Hemi from AEV... that woulda pulled the boat fine... just woulda cost twice as much as buying that Ford.

I think Jeep missed the boat with the JK. They could have stuffed a V8 under there as an option. The increased size and weight improved the towing and stopping capabilities, but the wimpy V6 they put in there missed a niche.

I think a V* option would have been overkill, but a better V-6 would have been a good idea. or even a bigger straight 6 like the old ford 300 size...

Fords are EXTREMELY bad luck to me, so I have learned to see all Fords as ugly. I avoid them whenever possible when I an driving, although it never fails, 99% of the time the person cutting me off, pulling in front of me, about to rear end me, or I just barely miss because of their stupidity is a Ford...
but to answer the original question, a bass boat can handle the fishing with more or less luxury by comparison (of course with extra expense), the canoe can handle fishing with little expense but also very little equipment. I recently sold my 16' canoe and going to a 14' jon boat. |

Nice truck. Get a roof rack for the kayak and pull the 19-20' boat. Kayaks are only around $400 to $500. I'm looking to get one to go along with my one man inflatable pontoon. Kayaks can get you into those hard to reach areas.

I figured it out. The TJ would look good on a trailer behind the Ford headed to Tellico or Moab. 6" LongArm w/ 37's and tube fenders.
