More of the Cadberry caramel eggs. Peeps will do in a pinch though.

Those caramel eggs were expensive ($1.20 per)......Peeps were cheap ($1.08 a box).

We've got a Russell Stover distribution center and store down the road and I can get chocolate at a huge discount.....very dangerous!!

Here's a funny thing to do with Peeps if you like them microwaved. "I put them in the microwave with toothpicks and make them joust. First one to expand enough to poke the other one wins."

Double danger here. The Russell Stover store is less than a quarter mile from Cabela's!

I SHOULD NOT HAVE READ THIS THREAD!!! I have been on the sugar free diet with the hubby since his diabetes diagnosis. Went to the grocery store today and had to RUN through to keep myself from grabbing one bag of everything and hiding in a corner to eat it before coming back home. The Cadbury eggs were nearly my undoing.

Your hubby needs to sit down with a good Endo and figure out how to control his blood glucose levels with diet, exercise, and meds if needed. Been dealing with Type I for 36 years and I can eat pretty much anything (in moderation). Worst thing in the world is to tell someone they can't eat sugar (which is almost impossible since all carbohydrates are made up of 5 types of sugars). Sucrose (table sugar and corn syrup) is the one commonly found in candy and sweets. Plus it's almost impossible with the corn syrup being added to so many products. A carb free diet is very tough but an Atkins type diet would be the way to go if you went that direction. And that is very difficult......

Ya 'we' don't exclude sugar any more, just count Carbs.
Fact is, most 'sugar free' crap has MORE carbs as opposed to less.
A sugar free candy bar usually will have one or two carbs higher than sugared.
What a con job on American dieters.

Remember though, complex sugars may not be the best for anyone.
I'm a fruit nut. Natural fruits are hard to measure carbs but, such is life.
I've been banging up so long and 'dieting'. I wouldn't know how to do it any other way.

Son, years back got me a shirt that said, "Wake up and BANG UP!"
Guy lieing on the ground in a suit with appeared to be a 'hypo' in one hand and a HUGE smile.
Boyed I'd get a lot of dirty looks at the market!

Now I should mention....my diet is 4700 calories a day.

Hubby has an excellent endo but really wants to be able to control it without meds. He is doing great and hopes the doc will take him off the med when he goes back for his recheck. I am the one doing not so great.

With apologies. Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

I have never been much of a candy eater, but my better half has a monster sweet tooth. She gets Peeps every year, but loves the Reese's eggs the most.

I've never been a Peep fan. But I love the Cadbury Eggs! Tell ya what though. Add a 5/0 treble hook to one of those Peeps and you just might have something special!

Peep topwater
A gummy worm on a dropshot with a rockcandy hunk for weight pull out the old 'creepee crawler' machine and I just may start a baitshop that GUARANTEES the FISHERMAN will EAT!

And run by a diabetic....this has success written all over it!!!

Oh, and maybe I can move a few of the 100 cases of Twinkies I got at a bankruptcy sale.

I've never had a peep.
Do different colors have different flavors?

Well now, a DJ at a Nashville station (WSIX) tried to set a record by eating 103 Peeps in 30 minutes this morning. He declared the yellow and pink Peeps to be the best but said the purple ones were absolutely nasty. He missed the record by 5 Peeps and blamed it all on the purple ones because they tasted so bad. I guess every body needs an excuse. HA!

Yeah it does, placed on a white chocolate cake with white chocolate icing then covered with swiss chocolate, the trick is like the bass in the jungle one busts thru in order to find the peep. And like the bass often misses but the fun is in the pursuit.
Bubblegum pink in the pads or around bridges.

You honestly dont think id let that one get by me do you.
Notice its on its own lil pedestal. All this time bet many thought twas joking also have sumo frogs in same color.
