Tournament Results
Last night I held my first ever McKee Outdoors Monday night Madness. I had planned on about 15 boats but the wind and rain picked up and had several call and say they wouldn't make it to my first one. We ended up with 8 boats in the tournament, so not a total wash. Had 2 boats that are local sticks who win alot and one I was sort of hoping wouldn't show up lol. But the bite ended up being very tough and 5.4 won by 1 oz over 5.3 in our 3 fish 6-10 tournament. We came in 4th with 2 keepers"14 in fish and a 2lber so nothing to write home about. I lost 2 keepers right at the boat "one really close to 14 in about and the other was about a 2 lber" had I not lost that 2 we would have been right around 5 and been in contention. All in all great trip. We didn't have a keeper until 9 when we hit a light pole and sid, "it's too early in the year to hit this, but nothing else is working lol. Rob flipped a Demiki Tube in and caught a 14 incher and my next cast followed him up with a Bass Attacker Blade bait with a Bass Attacker 4.5"swimbait on the back and caught a 2lber". We got a little fired up and kept on that same bank. I then lost a 2 or so fish on a rattletrap right at the boat when he shook his head threw out my Spro Azura Shad and our night was done lol. All in all fun trip and I can't wait for this weeked. Fishing in a local tournament with about 30 boats on Lake Chicamagua this Saturday. Anyone been down there and know what they are biting on. Haven't been to Chic all spring????
