Thumbs up My late Christmas Present

My in-laws called to tell me that they had a late Christmas present for me. I was rather surprised when they sent me the picture.

I have to go next week with my father-in-law to pick it up.

It may not be a ranger, skeeter, or champion, but it is mine!

Being that I haven't driven a boat in years I am sure I will be spending a little more time in the boat forum.
I just signed up for the boater safety course and am ready to hit the water.

That a Merc Black Max there on the back??? If it is you've got one of the best motors ever made in my opinion.

Congrats on the boat. I could sure use that for getting into a few of the waterfowl refuges in the summertime around here.

I really don't know anything about it yet. My father-in-law got it from friend of his.
I am told that the owner spent the past couple of months restoring it. The carpet adn seats are new. The motor went through an overhaul.
I pick it up next week.
The only thing that is not working properly is the water intake to the livewells. Guess I will learn about livewell repair.

Dude, is that a jet boat? Interesting.
Congratulations...that's pretty close to the boat I want one day. Very nice.

Yep, that looks like a jet-drive. Perfect for navigating the rivers and stump fields.

Very Nice!

Awesome Cass!

I'd take the canopy down though. Those things, treble hooks, and casting don't mix well!

That's really GREAT and from the in-laws to boot! There's almost nothing like getting a boat like that - when I came home and found mine in the garage for my birthday, the tears just welled up (oh no, another grown man cry baby! lol)

The boat looks to be in really great shape too!

And KUDOS for signing up for the boater safety course - I did that as well to better ensure I didn't do something dumb out of ignorance.

Wow a jet driven boat. That easily is the best Christmas gift ever. Congratulations again Cass. That really is something special.

I don't foresee the canopy staying on. I will need to see if I have enough room by simply folding it down. More than likely I will remove it.

The only things I will need to add are a fish finder and some seat covers. I had always told my daughter that if Mom ever let us get a boat, it would have some pink on it. (I figured my chances were greater with her on my side). I will be getting covers that can be in place while she is with me and removed when she isn't.

Awesum cass! Jet drive, canopy (don't throw it away, it'll comein handy when the family goes out with ya) and RESTORED! This is a VERY nice set up. That motor will make oyu feel like you are flying on the water. 75 hosses on that rig (aluminum flat bottom) will for sure get up and go. Be careful when you first take her out. Personally i love it cass. would love to have it myself. You will be able to fish in spots NO ONE else can. Let us know how it does for you. Post pics of the maiden voyage!
