New Evinrude G2s
Has anyone seen these? What do you think?
I think they are UGLY! I've tried to let them grow on me...but so far no luck. http://www.evinrude.com/en-us/engine...etec_300_hp_g2

First thing that hit me ... is that engine is on it's side? Second thing that hit me was ... that is one butt ugly cowling.
Nope ... there's no "getting used" to that. |

If the graphics were horizontal instead of vertical, would it look much different than any other outboard?

Yeah, if all they changed, was the orientation of the word, it'd still be ugly.
It looks too angular, for one. It looks like a "modern" electric razor ... or maybe a kids "transformers" toy. It looks to "busy" ... not clean and aerodynamic. It's f'ugly. |

Looks very odd. Give me the traditional look any day.
