Default Lake Amistad

A friend and I had the opportunity to fish Lake Amistad in Del Rio, TX a week ago. We spend 7 days in Del Rio, had a great time and a few good fish to show for our effort.

Great job, Tav! Wish I would have known-I'm about 2 hours from Amistad-would have loved to have met you (I'm guessing you came through San Antonio)

Would have been cool. Actually we chose to go through OK City, Wichita Falls, and Abilene, it was about a 9 1/2 hour drive from Wichita, KS.

Next time I am down South I will have to look you up.

Man that looks like a hell of a trip. I would love to get down there and fish Amistad one day. I saw pictures of the lake on facebook the other day, man that thing is low. Cool pics man, glad you guys had a good time.

The lake was 44 feet low when we arrived and they were still pulling water at about 2 feet a day when we left. Crazy thing is there are still lots of places that are over 100ft deep.
