so on the over fished pond, i wrote about in another, this came from it, my cheap scale says 3 lbs. does that sound correct by looking at him, it was so funny watching these "hardcore" fishermen and ladies getting mad when i was catching them, heck the even started throwing beside me, it was on a wacky style setup, i caught about 3 more 1 lbers..as well

I'd guess 1-1.5lbs. Get a measuring tape and measure them with the mouth closed also. It's hard to judge weight by the picture because some fish just look big or small in a picture. If you have a measurement it's a lot easier to give a ballpark guess. If you're scales said 3 pounds on that fish though, unless you're a giant, get a new scale.

Judging from the photo, I'd have to guess at about 1-1/4 pounds. I purchased a new digital scale this year that is pretty close to accurate and I weighed many bass that looked like that just to experiment. That would be my guess.

Grab a five lb weight and weigh it on your scale..Is it a spring scale?
This will at least let you now how bad its off.
A rough judge by that pic I'd say that fish doesn't quite make 1lb.

This is a half lb bass I caught last year weighed twice on my digital scale.
The handle on that rod is exactly 10.2'' If that helps.

Yea I use the 50lb Berkley digital scale ($24) Every so often Ill weight a paint can or similar at work on the shipping scale,then on the Berkley...Their almost always exact...Which sucks because I swear some of these fish are bigger

i agree with everyone else pal. but hey....it's ok. i make a living on catching dinks, hahaha. i think it is jsut awesum that the other folks decided that OYU had a honey hole and tried to get in. ahhaha.

Thanx, well o guess I don't need biguns, lol cause were I fish I can catch like 10-14 a day, it's all wacky and buzz baits now. Even at night I can chunk gill heads and pull 6 lb channels. And I know they are 6 cause I now own a scale..
