My vacation day
Some days are magical. I took a day off from work since there wasn't much to do anyways. Hit the water by 4:50AM. The buzz bait bite was on right away. Once the sun started to rise above the horizon, the buzzbait bite did a nose dive, only to be replaced by the Xcaliber Popper bite big time! The day was magical. I lost count of how many I landed. Needless to say, my right hand and wrist is actually sore as I type this. When the popper bite slowed, the Xcaliber crankbaits took over. For a period, neither would produce, so I switched to a soft bodied swimbait worked in over and through weedbeds in 6-8 foot of water. Then it was back to the popper for several more. All I can say is thankyou Lord for such a blessed day! Here are a few pics of today. I kept four to have for dinner. The rest were all returned to fight another day.

Congratulations on a great day Keith! I'm a huge fan of those Xcalibur baits too. The Zell Pop, the XCS Cranks and the XR50's are all awesome baits!!

Thanks everyone. I'm not sure which brand swimbait I was throwing BassBoss. I have three kinds in my bag and forget which is which. I think it was made by Basstix or something like that.
John, you better be sending me some pic of Lisas fish and yours pal. haha Don, you might have something on that fishbowl comment, lol. Sorry about the pics being sent on friday while your all slaving away, but thought I'd just get ya all fired up for the weekend.
