Care full dont go so fast as to lose the signal.Ive seen so many yak guys happy im thinking of either building one or buying a wallie cheapie,obion chain nearby has no ramps.
But ill just stick a paddle down to know how deep,as just a cypress swamp.

It's not the setup cost (although still cheaper) it's the weekly cost of GAS that's the money saver!

Couldn't find a boat that I could use a Malibu as a Tow Vehicle.

Excellent choice, you'll love the SI/DI capabilities. If you need ideas for mounting the transducer, give me a shout. I just finished mine for the 898 using PVC and a RAM mount. Easy and cheaper than say a MAD FROG transducer arm.
