I have a 16'2" Skeeter and I can fish three people in it but it gets tight. If I am at an electric-only lake or if I don't need to run the big motor then it isn't a problem. A 20' boat should meet your needs unless you intend on going on long runs. Look on craigslist for a used bass boat and have a mechanic look at it with you so you don't inherit someone else's problems. Lots of people are selling their rigs now and there are great deals to be had.
If you are REALLY concerned about fishing with 4-5 people your best bet might be a bay boat like this one: http://www.rangerboats.com/flash/gal...id=5526&gid=38 I would be surprised if you could not find a used one in the $5k range. |
