Default Local Pond Bass

Caught her the other day. My friend got broke off by her 1st. He was throwing a watermelon red Lizard. I threw in the general area where he got broke off with a watermelon red senko and hooked up with her. She put up a good fight. When I got her in, you could still see his Lizard in her throat. I was using a 6'6" MH-F Carrot Stix with a BPS Carbonlite reel. 12lb Berkley Vanish Fluro and a Gamakatsu 3/0 WG hook.

You should give your friend his bait back with a smile and say, "That's how you land a fish."

Nice fish.

Very nice fish you got there! It's not often you catch a fish after breaking it off, congrats!

Thanks everyone. Bassboss I was shocked it bit again like that. She looked fresh off the bed. Must have been really hungry. I would have loved to catch her on the bed. It would have def been a mount.

I had something similar happen with a fish that went a little over 8lbs. Only I was the one that broke her off (in a tournament no less) and my buddy caught her a week later (also in a tournament). He was at least nice enough to give me my jig back but that didn't take much of the pain away from losing that fish. Nice fish!
