Golf Course Bass
A Buddy and I went to the golf course this morning for a couple hours. I caught a spawner that weighed 4.7 lbs on a Brushhog right off the bat. Then it was slow as we fished the rest of the pond with brushhogs, cranks, and blades. At the other end of the pond I decided to throw the Snag Proof frog. That's when the fun began. I started whacking some nice fish on the frog and soon had a 5 fish limit that went just under 19 lbs. The frog was the ticket today. I gave one to my buddy and he had 3 blow ups but couldn't hook up. I did csatch 1 more 3 lber on a brushhog before we left. Here's a few pics from the morning.

BA that is a good looking catch. I always hear about the frog bite being awesome in the early spring, but it seems like it has been turning on around here lately. I tried it in March and April without much luck, but I am gonna fish them now until they shut down.

Wow! That place looks sweet! Great bass too, very healthy from the looks of 'em! Was it a brush hog, or a baby hog?

3D,
You can get there from the Chick. The Chick River runs right beside the golf course. BassinID, The golf course has been closed for a while. My buddy's Uncle is part owner of the property and lets us fish and hunt it. We are taking the bushhogs to it soon to cut the grass. So yea... the ponds are in better shape than the course! BassBoss, I was using the bigger brushhogs. With the huge bass in these ponds I like to use bigger baits! I've caught them on a Rage Tail 10" worm there too.
