Default Weekly Lake Fork Report From Guide Jim Reaneau

Well, the fishing has been up and down this past week. The weather has been crazy too. The top water bite has been on and off. I have been fishing main lake points on windy mornings with top water and some mornings have been better than others. Pop’r type baits have been the bait of choice.
I have been using Lake Fork Tackle ZigZags and Twitch Worms fished weightless over pads and grass. The Wave Tiki Stick has been hot in the same areas. The Wave Frog fished on windy pads has been productive. I put a 6/0 hook in the bait and you have to wait till the fish get it down before setting the hook.
The deep fish are on and off again. The Carolina rig or Texas rig fished over the humps and roadbeds have produced some nice fish. The Bandit 200 series baby bass color crank bait is working around timber and stumps.
I still have some dates open in May if you want to book a trip give me a call after 6PM.
The following dates are available in May.
10,22, 24, 27, 28, 29,30, 31.
