Well the first tourney of the season started out w/ a brisk 54 degree launch and 20-25mph winds on a lake Ive never been on before. Started out rough and wet, made a move out of the wind into some grass. Lot's of short strikes on spinnerbaits, changed to a colorado blade and started hitting a few. My partner went to chartreuse w/ colorado blade and popped 2 fish. After some time I went to my rattle trap, that was the key. He hit a few, I hit a few bigger ones. Culled threw 12 fish, lost 2 big ones, 1 in the cattails that was a solid 4-5 pounder. Total for the day 12.88#, good enough for 5th. 3rd,4th,5th were separated by .90 of a pound. On to the Big "O" next month, April 19,20,21.

Congrats. Sounds like a decent, and 5th isn't too bad.
