Default Friendly Reminder

Reb's signature reminds us all to check our hooks... Just a reminder to also check your line for nicks and abrasions. My son (9) lost a nice fish at the bank today when his 10lb line broke on a 2.5 pound fish. I never checked the line!!! We got three other nice large mouth 15, 15, 161/4 inches, but his was the big one of the day... Also practice tying your knots at home, I got that advice on here this winter and it sure pays off in time saved while out fishing!

Very good point, BH. Like hook sharpness that is often overlooked.

I just lost my out-of-production favorite spinnerbait given to me by my grandpa in 1995 because I didn't check for abrasions after battling a bass out of a laydown.

I have started feeling my line for nicks lately, ever since my line broke twice in 1 day. And now every time I get ready to go fishing, I pretty much end up cutting some line off and re-tying my lures for the day back on. Just wished I would have thought of it before now!

Good advice/reminder
