Default Google Earth

This may not sound like a fishing related post but it is. I would like to download onto my computer a FREE software program like Google Earth to that I can a good virtual visual of any new body of water I plan to fish, or old body for that matter. I've heard of Google Earth and Google Earth 3-D. Are there any others that you would recommend before I download Google Earth that you think are better?

Why download? Google Maps right on googles website does just as good without downloading... you just have to have internet connection to use it.

Kevin listed a couple in his Geospatial Advantage video. Google Earth, one from NASA, and then microsoft's online map which has the "bird's eye view" photos (I'm assuming this is now on Bing).

Keith,

Anthony is right, it's on Bing.

You don't have to download Bing, and with the birds eye view, you can get better pics than with Google Earth. You can easily create folders called "My Places" and save locations in them. I have different ones for lakes, boat launch sites and even ones for places that I have to travel to for work.
