Thanks Bryce.

I know its gonna work out. My bass count hasnt dropped off since the motor problems started forcing me to leave the spook at home, so I don't think this is gonna sink me...wont be able to fish the tailwater and I can't flip and pitch, but otherwise its effective.

Actually, if anybody wants to just put the kayak on the deck of the boat and ferry me across to more productive areas, I can get out and kayak the same areas yall are hitting from the bass boat.

I'm sure we can work something out. I can (legally) carry 4 people in my boat, and we can either load the kayak in with us, or tow it behind and just idle along. Either way, it'll be fine.

What kind of fishing are Wheeler and Wilson known for? Up close flipping and pitching, dragging jigs and crankbaits across points and ledges, frogging through pads and grass...?

Not too much flippin or pitichin, which is why I dont think using the kayak a lot is gonna hurt me. More cranks, jerkbaits, grubs, split shot and carolina rigs.

I know now that I am definitely not going to make this trip. My brothers (3), my sister, and I are all making a surprise visit to my father's that weekend. He turns 64 and he doesn't know that we are all making the trip. 64 is a huge date for my father. He will be the first male on his side of the family to make it to 64.

Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure if you were bringing a boat or not.

So there's a few 2 person boats with possible 3rd seat open (if that's ok with the boat owners, as I don't want to volunteer someone's boat) for anyone else who is coming to the event.

The last day at home is going to be a scramble, for sure.

Boy, you hit the nail on the head, Bama. I got a letter from Dodge yesterday, telling me that my truck is on a recall list. Supposedly, the rear axle pinion bearing isn't getting enough oil, or whatever...and it may seize up "under certain driving conditions (whatever those are), causing loss of control and a wreck.

I immediately got myself on the waiting list to get it fixed, but it will take 10 weeks. Great timing, huh? All they accomplished by telling me this was to get me stressed out and worried. I would rather they just told me 3 weeks from now.....

I'll have a card table and 4 chairs, if we need it. For the group dinner, I think I/we are going for crawfish to go along with the bass. I also have a pretty big cooler if it's needed.

I could bring a countertop deep fryer, but I think John might have me beat. Just trying to think of what else I have besides a charger, extension cord, fan....

Sorry....no coffee for me. Love the smell, and as a flavoring in ice cream or chocolate it can't be beat. Just can't drink the stuff.

I'll be bringing:
Box Fan
Coolers
Extra Boat Batteries
Extra Charger
Beef Ribs (you cook 'em) and Salad
Trout from Dale Hollow (I appreciate prayers for my good luck)
Air Bed
Extension Cords
My Huge Head Full of Useless Trivia (for entertainment)
