Tiger Musky

Cross between Pike and Musky.
Males a pike, Moms a Musky.
Tiger is sterile.

The stripes is where it gets it's name.
They actually grow faster than Musky and Musky faster than Pike.

Yep, that's a little tiger musky.

Northern pike generally have markings that run horizontal, or parallel with their body while musky's markings are vertical.

Just goes to show not to trust the Florida native!

However, if you need help determining what kinda snapper you caught, or whether or not that thing that ate your sand-flea was pompano or permit, I'm you guy. lol

I caught a regular muskie about half that size on a crappie jig once. I thought it was a turkey feather floating along the surface in some flooded grass but once I got close enough I could tell it was a little muskie. I was really surprised when he hammered my crappie jig as soon as it landed in front of him. Very pretty little fish.
