Blue Ridge Brawl
Is anyone going to Smith Mountain Lake? I was planning on going but just talked to my buddy and we have Regional Schools this weekend. So why everyone else is watching VanDamm Kick some some A$$ I will be crawling around in tiny little holes trying not to get stuck. LOL Oh the joys of the Fire Service....

Those fish should be spawning or very close. Probably going to be some good sacks weighed in. I've been there for BFL's and it can take 20+ to win one in April. Big fish usually around 7 or so. Saw a 9 once too.

We are going up there early Sat. morning to watch blast off. Don't know if we'll stay all day or not.

Looks like Skeet won big at Smith Mt. Funny that Crews went out to Cali and won and Skeet comes to VA to win. That just don't make sense.

I'm guessing that you put in at Sturgeon's??? How'd you do? I found them skinny and cruising today. Couldn't find a big one that want to eat. Plenty in the 2-6 lb range.

They will be there very soon unless the rain today and cooler weather keeps the water temps in the low 60's. I found a couple males locked on to stumps and docks but no beds that I could determine. Found plenty of bait fish up in skinny water so some fish have spawned already.
What's the moon phase right now? Next full or new moon should stack them up if the sun cooperates. |
