San Diego Knot
What do you guys think about the San Diego knot? Have you used it? I see on Google its also called Reverse Clinch or Heiliger knot
I came across it in this months FLW. I am having a little issue with wacky rigs which at the moment has replaced the drop shot for me. I have tied everything from fry to senkos on the wacky head and let me tell you it works. It's just the slip knot I tie with fluor leader or direct is not letting the jig head be as free as I would like.. They have been coming off the beds for the bubble gum senkos, berkely frys and robos on this jig head. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_100173 (Zappu and bubble gum senko.) It stays in the zone for a larger period of time on the bottom better than drop shot. It really makes them mad dropped in but they will come off the bed and get it in my part of the world. No weedless or o ring. I have not tried the nail but I am not fishing this deep either. I use the uni to uni for braid to fluro and its works the best for me never had a knot failure as long as it was tied correctly. |
