Default Last hurrah of the year?

Maybe. It was warmer today so I chose to get in some fishing from shore. I started at a location off a pier which is good early spring and late fall, and dead in between. Caught one small dink on a Red Eye shad, then started walking down shore to other areas I usually do better. Those areas produced nothing and ended up back at my starting point for a few last casts. Glad I did. Throwing a spinner bait, I caught a 3 pounder and then followed that up with a nice 4.59# bass. Not huge by any means, but the best of the year this year for me. It's been a rough year fishing, but this was a nice way to end the year, maybe. Might head back out next Saturday depending on the weather.

Looks like you had a good day, Keith! Now that we have the first big cold front coming down tomorrow Saturday is starting to look better and better. Plus, the Aggies have a bye week so I don't have to choose between fishing or watching Johnnie Football

Nice fish for this time of year! Been in the deer woods all fall and sorta wishing I would been fishing more! Saw ice on the lakes today.
