Spotted Atlantic gar. Can reach 6 feet and this one was 5.5 feet.

A pirates favorite fish..

So much for curiosity looked like a salt water spoon bill,they actually any good to eat?
I used to like sea or speckled trout.Tad smaller however,no steaks.
Ps about the best eating is a 10 in brookie cooked over a campfire.For indoor cooking saugeye.

OK this particular fish requires soaking meat for three days prior to making into balls.

It also requires the following tools to clean.
Knife
Tin snips
Hacksaw
Hammer
and a pair of vice grips.
