OK for the specifics, the water level was way down, as low as I've ever seen it. The weather was in the lower 70's and partly sunny. I was a beautiful day to be on the lake, just not the best to catch the fish. Water temps were 60-62 dpending on where I was. Wind was blowing pretty steady around 15 MPH all afternoon. I fished from 1:30pm to 5:30 pm. I caught 2 other bass that were over 12" but were not bigger than 12.5". I caught seven dinks to go along with the seven over 12" for a total of 14 bass. I worked the laydowns, and points, and saw no fish schooling all day. I worked cranks, jerk baits in both shad and craw patterns with no bites at all. I pitched Baby Paca Craw's in Green Pumpkin Candy with a 3/16 oz bullett weight pegged mostly, and worked a all white spinnerbait, which were the baits I caught all the fish on. They all but the biggest one, came from 4'-10' of water. The 15" bass came off of a brush pile in 2 feet of water, and was the only real hard strike I got all day, the others were just picking up the Paca Craw, of just kinda hitting the spinnerbait very easy(I even put a trailer hook on), I actually had several fish just bump the spinner, and not take it I missed about 3 fish on the Paca, one that felt heavy, and I don't know why I missed them, good hookset, sharp hook, no line breaks, just no fish. It was really nice to get out and fish, and I tried to find the bigger fish, but just couldn't get any to bite. Most of the fish I picked up on my fishfinder were 15'-17' suspended in the middle of the lake. I actually tried jigging a spoon, and weighting a suspending rogue to get it down to them with no luck. I also Mojo-rigged quite a bit with 4" worms, and 6" lizards with no takers all along the main and secondary points. Glad I got a limit, just disappointed with the weight. Here's the fish totals in no particular order. 1. 14.5 L X 9.125 G = 1.60 LBS 2. 12.5 L X 7.50 G = 1.00 LBS 3. 13.5 L X 8.25 G = 1.25 lLBS 4. 12.5 L X 7.25 G = .94 LBS 5. 15.0 L X 9.5 G = 1.78 LBS Total weight was a measly 6.37 LBS Easy to beat with 1 fish, but it was what I got. I did have mechanical problems with my outboard and couldn't get it running, so was limited to where I could fish. I didn't fish where I really wanted to, but that's the breaks in tourneys. Lizards

Nice Fish, Lizards
A little bit jealous! I saw the first snow this morning. Any way, on the last pic, I saw bunches of lures mess up together? |

here's bass #5
I caught all my fish today on a watermelon zoom super fluke, most were tight to cover near deeper water. I had one that would have been my 3rd largest but he managed to make the freedom flop before I could get the tape measure out.

Well I am going to post my lengths and weights ahead of the pictures.
here they are 19 by 13 18 by 12 17 by12 16 by 11 16 by 11 Total weight 14.734pounds I fished my tourney back on the 5th of the month. I fished from 10:30 to 2:30. It was partly cloudy out and the wind was really blowing because a front was moving through. I started out fishing a orange and black rattletrap and I started fishing a grass flat right next to the deeper grass flat where I won the last tourney. I burned the rattletrap through the grass and I would rip it out like you are suppose to and I got hit first by the 19 by 13 momma. I fan casted some more and popped the trap out some shoreline grass and was struck by the 18 inch bass. I fan casted and covered the flat quickly without any takers. I spotted a leave covered cove in a pocket and started fishing it with a small clear sparkle colored spinnerbait and was crawling it through the leaves when it was jacked by the 17 inch bass. It was like a explosion under the leaves. The feed was on. The conditions were changing very rapidly and it got really dark out fast and the wind stopped. I couldn't get anymore on the spinner up shallow. I decided to hit a brush pile in about 10 feet of water that I know on a creek channle and I fished it with a watermellon tube. I connected with the two 16 inchers off this brushpile. The fish were not active really at this point and a slower presentation payed off. While I was fishing the tourney I saw another guy fishing with a spinnerbait while I was fishing the brushpiles and he didn't get anything the whole time. I guess I made a good decision. I used 15lb Cabelas mono line in brown color for the tournament. I switched out the front hook on my rattletrap to a red one. I Fished with BPS Extreme Reel and Pro Qualifier reels on Woo Daves extreme rods. The weight I used on the tube was 1/4 ounce. It was a solid day. Didn't lose any fish either the whole time. I am getting good at landing those babies.I really didn't get to fish the way I want to all the time. I like to fish worms but I knew I had to fish a rattletrap or something fast to capitalize on what was left of the morning bite. I am more of a worm kinda guy. I can fish all kinds of baits though. I really don't have a weakness or anything I don't know how to fish.

PnG's Tip on bass teeth came into play also. THey were feeding on baitfish and that is why I fished the trap longer and decided to throw a tube instead of a sweet beaver. Rodman I see you got big bass buddy!
