Ticks
In all my life, 57 yrs. this is the first year I have been bothered by ticks. Earlier this year I found 2 in my hair. Today I went fishing at 6am. Just got home awhile ago and sat down at the pc. I had my shirt off and felt something funny on my stomach. Looked down and there was a tick burrowing into my belly. Luckily it wasn't in and got the whole thing out. I've fished through tons of brush before and also hunted deer, etc. I never got one on me from gutting any animals. I am now worried about lyme disease. Going to goggle it and see what it has to say.

My grandma got something bad from ticks a while ago. Not lyme's though.
I've only found one on me here in Fl, that I can remember. Got a few in Wi. once, but that's it. All I can say, is after tropsing through the woods, what ever, make sure to check yourself for ticks and take a shower.

Be careful, ticks are more dangerous than people realize. I work with 2 people that have lymes. They really struggle with life right now. It's sad.

Ticks are real bad down here in Mississippi, they are on the dogs all the time even with FrontLine Plus. Didn't really have any in Michigan or New York but there were a lot on Ohio where I grew up. I was listening to a radio health show the other day and the doctor on there said that if you get them off within something like 12-18 hours they generally don't infect you with any disease. He also said that he believes that disease from ticks is much, much more common than reported just because people get sick and don't know what it's from. They also said the main areas to check are the head, groin, and between your toes. Basically anyplace dark where they can hide.

My cousin got Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever from a tick many years ago. Pretty nasty little critters.

Dont look up stuff like that man , you will convince yourself you have it. And they always make you scared.. I quit looking up stuff. On a side note , I knew a guy back in highschool that had lyme dieses , it almost killed him. And 20 years later he says he still goes threw spells with no , NO energy.

my wife had lymes disease, she has no lasting effects. Its usually the little deer ticks that give you the disease.
