Default gonna show off a little folks.

ok, here is a NEW rod and reel i now have in my arsenal folks. i recieved the rod form a dear friend for christmas, mike 234. even after asking him not to send me one he did. and i gotta tell ya'll.........i am IN LOVE with this rod. he had his rod builder make this for me. to my specs. this is going to be my jig, frog, lizzard and worm rod. well mostly LIZZARD rod hehehe. and since i didn't have the reel i wanted fo it. i had to wait till i saved up enough to buy one. luckly for me wally world now carries the new lews speed spool. i got the 7:1.1 ration. and it feels WONDERFUL. color fits the rod perfectly too. danile is gonna post up the picture for me. i got all my set ups respooled now and i am ITCHING to get out there to try out this new rod and reel. spooled it up with 50# suffix 832 braided line. so look for a LOT of dink pictures folks. hopefully a couple of nice ones too.

i want to thank mike 234 for the rod. i now own a CUSTOM MADE ROD for the first time in my life. yes i have a lot of rods and reels, some very dear to me. but HTIS one is my favorite along side the 3 micro magic rods ZOOKER left me. oh...sorry i forgot to mention it has micro guides on it too. it is BEAUTIFUL. crimson wrappings, jsut amazing in my eyes.

so again, THANKS MIKE 234. i owe oyu a dinner at your leasure my friend. or let me know when and i'll smoke a pork shoulder for oyu, amanda, and oyur grandson. then we'll hit the lake and go fishing.

the rest of ya'll take a look at the rod and reel and let me know what ya'll think. hopefully if the weather holds up like it has been lately, i'll try it out this friday on guntersville. i GOTTA GO FISHING!!!!! LOL!!!

MISSISSIPPIBOY IS GONNA POST UP THE PIC OF THE NEW SET UP FOR ME. THANKS DANIEL!!!

Very nice of Mike, he must be a great friend. Since you got the rod, reel and line, next time I see ya, you got a pack of hooks comming - to complete the package.

Congrats John, that is a good looking stick! It was very nice of Mike to do that for you. Of course I know that all the fish slime that gets on the handle will have Lisa's finger prints in it LOL.

Congratulations on the new set up John! That was a very generous thing for Mike to do. Do us a favor and get a better picture of the rod, we want to see it.

John, that a great looking combo man! Seriously, I have to check out those Lews reels. That was super great of Mike to do that for ya! Like Bruce said, I think your dink days are over. Can't wait to hear your feedback after trying out the new rig.

That is just awesome John! Very nice of Mike, for sure!
You'll still be catching dinks, but it'll be with a whole new set up!
Add me to the list wanting a Lew's report

thanks gang. it truly is a great feeling combo. as soon as i can i'll take some better (i hope) pics of it. but pics don't do it justice as you all know.

and as ya'll know i am a garcia man. but this lews...........jsut feels so good i can't stand myself. hahaha. and joedog....yes i remember my first.....and last. hahahaha!!! this feels as good as the first REAL rod and reel i bought myself.

and i am sure i'll get my share of dinks still, but i'm now REALLY ready for that 10 plus pounder now. hahaha!!

i can't say enough about mike 234. this man is a gem here folks. he is a good man who cares about people. doesn't ask for anything in return and gives from his heart. we should all strive to be like that. i know i try to be that way. i just wish i could do more.

ok,ok,ok, enough blubbering..lol

go to your local wall fart store and check these reels out. they come in a 5:4.1 ratio, which is $139.99, a 6:4.1 for less than $100.00 and then the 7:1.1 for $139.99. small compaired to my promax, but fits real comfy. smooth turning too. pro reel could possibly upgrade the bearings and make it REALLY smooth feeling. and pro, i am now saving up for YOUR services buddy. probably be the end of summer since i got so many reels that need cleaning, but i'm working on it buddy.

Wow, bama your using a 7' Heavy for your worm & lizard rod. Now you won't even get to feel those dinks fight. Should have went with a medium light to get some fight out of the fish.

rryan, it's 7 and a half footer. heavy with a fast tip. jsut what i want in a lizzard/worming/jig rod.

not being mean or nothing rryan, but i have found that by trying different action rods i like this type for what i am gonna use it for. it may not be what you or someone else would do, but that is why we all try different things. then find what works best for us. cool? i am still learning myself, even at the ripe old age of 50, hahaha.

as for feeling the fight of a dink....hahahaha, yeah i guess now i won't fell it like i use dto. hopefully this set up will change some of that. naaaa.......it won't. BWAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!

Yeah John, I got ya. I know that fishing tackle is very subjective and whatever works for that indivdual is what they will have the most confidence in. I was just razzin ya, cause you're always talking about catching dinks.

I disagree, the handle appears to definitely be on the RIGHT side.
If it was on the other side, then it would be on the wrong side as it isn't on the right side.
What was the question?
