Venom worm rattles?
I've heard a bit of talk about these on the site, wondering how you rig them.

If they are the glass type, one end will be sharp and you simply push the rattle into the worm lengthwise starting with the sharp end. There are other types on the market but the sharpended glass ones are the simplest.

you make want to try a drop of super glue to close the opening the glass rattle makes in the plastics to ensure the rattle doesn't pop back out. On some smaller profile plastics, the rattle occasionally comes out after a few fish hookups.

OK, is there anywhere in particular on the worm where they are best placed, or is that totally irrelevant, and they ar not glass, but plastic, and yes they are sharpened on one end.

Well, if you are using a jighead, place the rattle as close to the jighead as possible, sticking it down into the plastic somewhere near where the hook is. If you are just t-rigging or what not, stick the rattle in the end of the worm. Take JB's advice with the superglue unless the plastic is strong [ie: I dont have to do it for grubs that I use beause the plastic is so tough, once I jam it in there its not coming out].

Thanks guys, I just happened to see these up at the local store, and remembered hearing about them, and figure "Heck, it can't hurt to add a little noise to my worms" as alot of the waters I fish tend to be somewhat muddy alot of the time. Maybe it'll attract them a little more.

In murky water, try the hooktail worms, and place the rattle as close as is practicle to the hooktail, it will wiggle the rattle back and forth. FLW worms have fairly thick bodies as I recall.....you may want to replace the ribbontails with hooktails......a candle flame to heat both pieces at the same time will do.
