Frustrating day at the water
Went to my local pond and saw tons of bass. Looks like they are starting to pick out their bedding areas. I am gald the water was so clear because that was my only chance to see them. I threw everything in the bag at them with not so much as a nibble. I got some interest on a drop shotted gulp minnows but not strikes. My daughter brought in 3 bass with nightcrawlers. I just couldn't bring myself to throw one. I threw plastic worms ranging from 4 inch upto 12 inch and they just didn't care.
I am heading back out tomorrow. Any suggestions?

Try a single tail grub if you didn't already, i caught a bass the other day on one at a pond, just reeling it in steadily with little pauses and hops every once in a while.

If ya havn't already, you might try throwing a Lizard into their Beds, trying to provoke the bass into a reaction strike.

They really aren't on beds yet. Just scoping them out so far. Water temps broke 60 degrees and the water is very clear. Today was overcast. Like I said earlier, they did move towards and hit my daughter's nightcrawlers. I am considering trying to DS a 10 inch hand poured tomorrow to see if I can make them angry. It is all sight fishing but all i can see is them ignoring my bait.

I have plenty of icicles for you. They just might work.
I recommend using a 4/0. |

Try a dropshot if you can, you can stick about any bait on there you can think of, or maybe try an X-rap.
JB, you guys got a lot worse than we did this weekend. BB
