Opening day was nothing to brag about
Put the Yak in the Betsie and did a few hours on the water. All I accomplished was 1 little pike, a pinched psyiatic and a test run on the FF install.
Goin back out in an hour or 2. I think all the rain we've had has really got them confused. I was markin em but they weren't bitin

feel ya brother, went to the mudhole and jsu got back. blue bird skies and no wind. not a nibble. guess the storms have messed em up here. oh well, it was a nice break anyway.

You'll be gettin them soon pal. And I want to see pics when you do! Jigs and spinnerbaits were working for me yesterday in shallow weedbeds.

Went back out this afternoon. Managed to fight the wind long enough to grab 2 of em. Woulda been a 3rd, but he came off as I was grabbin for his lip. As always, he was the biggest!
 All 3 bit on a BPS Nitro Floater. Been usin em for a few years now, but never this color. Decided to get a few when I went to BPS back in February. If I remember correctly, it's a new color. Mikey likes it! The river pics are from yesterday morning....when it wasn't windy

Mallen - you did better than me for the opener. When to the boat ramp, It had foot of water over the top of it. Wind was blowing hard. I was alone so I did noteven get the boat wet after watching 2 other guys have a heck of a time getting ther boats back on the trailer. Fished from shore washed a few lures whent home.

Nova, I wouldn't have went out there either! Sounds pretty rough. Keith, that's a river. The pics make it look bigger than it actually is. Also, right now the waters probably pushin a foot high with the meltoff of 2 upstream lakes and all the rain we've had

Thanks guys! Yep, Saturday was definitely pic takin day as far as the water goes. It was under 40 degrees when I put in, but other than that, it was a beautiful day on the water! Really wish I woud have taken more pics that day
