Default Anyone fish West Point Lake in Lagrange, GA?

Just wondering if anyone has been fishing West Point Lake with any luck...I know this time of year is tuff everywhere but it seems like its even worse here...just wondering if any has and tips that might help me out a little bit...hell might even be looking for a fishing partner if anyone is interested...I will take care of all the expenses and supply the boat...all you gotta do is show up. Just wanting someone who fishes it fairly regular to kinda show me what I am missing. thanks

We live in LaGrange so we go there a pretty good bit. I've found that the north end of the lake is a little more fun to fish. Brush creek is where the river turns into the lake and the catfish are pretty large there. We have a jon boat so we can't get too frisky out there. Yellow jacket is where they let all the fish go after the weekly tournaments and we've caught some nice lgmouths there. I've been looking at a few guides that have lived on the lake for a long time. Most of them seem to use live shad, etc. I wish they didn't cost so much...

Once I get my boat which is looking like probably the end of Sept now, I plan to get a Guide so I can learn a few spots and the Shad Technique.

THEN I'm going to use my boat in the same manner.
