Default April 29th Double Report

What does a dog say when the mailman comes to the door ?. Rough rough rough.. Well today was rough. We got to my secret spot and in the first 15 minutes landed 4 nice crappie. Then the tide topped out and could not even buy a bite. I offered up a nice quarter then a dime and considered a one dollar bill. But these fish had lock jaw. So we moved to a new area. And we moved around that area but only managed two more target fish the rest of the out going tide. A few YP made the count nine at the end. It was hot but the fishing was not.

Five bottles of water and no pee report.

I of course was soaked like a was caught in a rain shower before we even launched.
The weather was hot and humid and the fishing was dry and arid. The only thing that saves a trip like this is good crew. It was fun interacting with these three today and telling fishing stories. A little Redskins, a little Wizards and some bemoaning the Capitals and hoping for NOT ANOTHER playoff choke. Two broken rods (one ten footer broke and Kirby was able to grab the piece that went in the water and it then broke) Bruce had something grab his sixteen footer. It acted like we were going to land it and it surged under the stern...SNAP! right in half. The most exciting part of this trip will be wondering what the two were that broke off and got away.
