satellite vs. cable

I have had dish network for the last 3 years , and am quite happy with it. My question is , I just built a new house , and in this house there is a central location with phone , cable splitters , and internet cables in it. If I keep satellite , how will this work ? do they use regular coaxial cable , because thats what it is , it goes from the splitter to each room to a wall plate. Any help appreciated. P.S. Dish Network has horrible , horrible installation practices , they will drill threw anything to make it eaisier on them , this is a new house , and probably my only new house , ever.

yeah it uses regular coaxial cable when they set it up unless you can do it all you have to do is run a cable into the satelite dish and to the sender.. then your main cable goes to the back of the sat to SAT in.. then if you have a dual system and one box then the cable comes out of R1 or R2 to room 1 and room 2 .. otherwise the sender has two units in one and one cable per box..

yeah man run on the same wires with out a doubt the place i just moved into was wired for satellite and the installer used the same wires to run my cable

the new boxes don't use as many outlets as before. we got dish and jut 2 holes were drilled. 4 boxes. they use 2 for main boxes and 2 run off of them. they will install for free when you move, at least they say that.
