Default Did a quick inventory

No wonder I am broke:
I was looking at my fishing gear and I count:

12 baitcasting outfits
6 spinning reel outfits
5 spincast outfits
6 flyfishing outfits

Just about. I have taken as many as 5 baitcasters & 1 spinning outfit with me at once. The spincasters are mostly for loaning or catfishing.

How a lot of it has happened is just upgrading to newer technology. Better quality reels & rods over the years.

If you wanna retire some of that 'old technology', I will take it off your hands. Oh it'll be a sacrifice knowing I'm using antiques, but anything fer my new BFF!

LOL

I think someone might be interested in purchasing some original Team Diawa reels.

I was looking over my gear the other night again. I wiped dust off several of them. Only re-spooled the ones I am most likely to use soon. I probably need to re-spool any of the others before dragging them out. Some probably have not seen the water in 5 years.

After yesterdays BPS trip, I'am up to 15 baitcast and 3 spiner rigs. I just started bass fishing last May. I think Iam good on rods and reels now.

hmm lets see I have 7 or 8 usable setups here... mostly spinning reels and a few spincast... and the whole lot probably cost less than one of your high dollar rod/reel setups

our garage is a disaster zone. Try to explain to the kids at school why your dad and you have at least 15 rods. "why do you need all of those? its just luck" *punch* . works every time, haha.

I have seen big fish caught on Zebco set-ups. I think the equipment varies depending on the perspective one has. I think my grandfather probably had a dozen of the cheapest zebco outfits made. When one broke he was not out much. My other grandfather never fished with anything except a Mitchell 300 & an Eagle Claw rod. He never fished for bass but with one when it wore out he would buy 1 more.
