Heavier lines may work better but on spinning gear just didn't cut it broke off a lot of fish cost me some tournaments. I use P-Line now not had a problem i was using 6-8 on spinning gear

-This is the first flouro product I have tried, so I can't really compare to any other, but I have been pleased by its performance and sensitivity on a baitcaster. I have been fishing with the #17 lo-vis green on my baitcaster and #10 lo-vis on my spinning rod. The only problem I have had out of it was throwing an overcast, AKA bird's nest. The loop over crimped the line and it broke.
Pros: Super sensitive and castability.
Cons: Check the line close after a backlash. Unpegged tungsten with large diameter line openings tend to cause wear above the knot. Does not cast well on spinning reels.

I really enjoy this line compared to others. You cant beat the sensitivity and the abrasion resistance is great. I use it on my bait casters with jigs, spinners, and texas or carolina rigs. There doesnt appear to be much memory but I havent tried it on my spinning reels as of yet. The fact that there is no stretch is a huge importance to me for hook sets in lots of vegetation and when running spinning or swim baits. Its an over all excellent line. I recommend it highly.

I like trilene flourocarbon for worm fishing {both texas rig and carolina rig} because of the low stretch and sensitivity.. This is with a baitcaster , I haven't tried it on a spinner. I think this a great line for certain things. I still like mono for top water..

Flurocarbon lines are quickly dominating many niches held by Nylon monofilament. Flourcarbons strengths in sensitivity due to its lack of elasticity, its abarasion resistence and lack of visability are all key.

Larger diameter lines are difficult to deal with, particularly knot issues and backlashes. Flurocarbon is very stiff. Flurocarbon is horrible on topwater luresand fast spinnerbait applications and can have casting issues, particularly on large diameter lines.

I use Flurocarbon on my drop shotting, split shotting, shakey head and jig presentations.
I also use flurocarbon on my heavy swimbaits too.

I also have also used P-line, Yo-zuri, and coated flurocarbon.

WHY DOES NO ONE MENTION THAT LINE DOES NOT WORK WELL ON A SPINNING REEL. I PURCHASED TWO SPOOLS ( 12LB. ) FOR MY SPINNING REELS ONLY TO REWIND IT TO THE CASTING REELS. THIS LINE FUNCTIONS VERY GOOD ON CASTING REELS BUT LOOPS EASILY OFF A SPINNING REEL. PERHAPS I SHOULD TRY 8 POUND LINE.

I have used this product and it performes well, I used the 17lb for 1/2oz football jigs, but I will continue using Vicous Fluorocarbon it performes a little better and is more affordable and you get more yards for the money..

I went with a buddy who used it and i was busy fixing lure after lure casue i was only using mono and i couldn't pull any fish i hooked out of the grass. He pulled evereyone out no problem. Needless to say i'm a believer now and it makes the difference cause its just that much better there is no stretching like in mono and the knots just stick better than mono. It works.

I have been impressed so far with 100% Flourocarbon. My favorite line sizes are between 12-17# test. Any larger and I typically go with a 65# braid.

I have experimented with both the clear and lo-vis green. Unless you have a personal preference, I haven't found much of a difference.

If you haven't picked any up, it is a good product that a serious fisherman should put into the arsenal.

I've tried a lot of different fluorocarbon lines and settled on Triene 100% Fluorocarbon for my fluorocarbon line. It casts extremely well, is very abrasion resistant, and handles like limp mono. It has great knot strength and the sensitivity to feel those subtle bites we all get. I would have no problem recommending this line to anyone looking for a good fluorocarbon.
