I guess I have missed something. What is going on with the Shimano reels? I have 3 curados. Two I bought last year and one the year before. I have never had a problem. I have talked to guys who fish on the pro side and they love them. I don't think these guys have a shimano sponsorship, so they should be objective. Just thought I would ask.

Well, that was easy. Flyrod gave me a Team Daiwa Advantage 153HST when we met up at the lake this morning. This reel is SWEET! Cranked up the brakes, and tied on a buzzbait. Now, we are talking Zooker-type winds here-15 to 20 steady and gusts. Threw that buzzbait into the teeth of the wind and NO backlash-at all! I was hooked
