Hey Guys, I'm not one who usually gets on a pulpit and preaches, and this may not be the proper forum, but my mom gave me this really good book that I thought some of you might enjoy. "That's a Keeper- Reflections On Life From A Bass Fisherman" by H. Norman Wright is a great devotional book that ties in his experiences from fishing, with scripture, that applies to everyday life. In current times it's easy to lose perspective on what's important in life and this book helps keep me focused on what's really important. |

Very well spoken Zook, blunt to the point and unfortunately most of us probably understood it. 8)

Actually I'm a bit odd on this site, because I do read books that don't have more pictures than words. I've got a copy of "Its a Keeper" and agree it's a good read. I believe the aurthor has written at least one more volumn. |

There used to be a very old book in my high school library that I read a few times called "The Philosophical Fisherman". It was a great book, not so much about fishing or life lessons but just a sort of sentimental look at our pastime and why we love it so much.

It was written by a dyed-in-the-wool dry fly fisherman named Harold Blaisdell. I enjoyed his philosophizing about various aspects of fishing and he sure had a way with words. |

[/quote] I would too, if I could pronounce it. ;D My brother gave me a book similar to that 2 years ago for Christmas. Except it was about Deer Hunting. Very Good read. Shows you how to see God in everything around you, and how to reflect on Him. Charles |
