backlash????????????
ok this is what i want to know,i know spinners can backlash but how????
i cant even backlash if i tried

Sometimes line twist causes loops in the line. If the loops go unchecked they will tangle. The other cause is the memory that sets up in the line. That will also cause loops.Fish2win

And if you have the instant revers thing on and you set the hook without holding on to the handle it will spin backwards and give you a backlesh from he!!................... I know this from expereince catfishing...................

I think technically there can't be a backlash on a spinning reel because, as I understand it, a backlash occurs when a spool is revolving faster than line is going out.
However, as has been stated above, spinning reels can get horrendous tangles or birds' nests, many of which are much worse than baitcasting backlashes. At least for me that's true. I don't use baitcasting anymore, but the backlashes I used to get were nothing compared to the spinning tangles I've had.
