Stacey King was your big bass winner for Day One with a 3lbs. 2oz bass.
Jimmy Mize was the first angler to be weighted and stayed in first place through out the day.
Mike Iaoconelli came out wearing a Pirates Ballcap, a Penguins jersey, and waving a Terrible Towl. During the intro (I'm not sure if this will be shown on ESPN), they did a Star Wars theme. It showed Darth Vader fishing and driving a bass boat. He then took off his helmet and it was Ike who then screamed, "I'm your daddy. I'M YOUR DADDY. I'M YOUR DADDY!"

When the event started, Ray Scott came out and said he selected Pittsburgh PA because he wanted a tough place for the anglers to fish. I think this place may be too tough for them and I doubt I'll ever see another B.A.S.S. tournment on the 3 Rivers because of it. Now, I know the big fish are in there. I've caught my fair share of bass in that river over 3 pounds. Maybe it's because I'm a local boy and I know the holes better then the pro's, but they're embarrassing my town on national TV. They did a big spot on Rick Clunn being named the best angler ever right before he came out with NO FISH.

It's just day one, and I know a large fish or 2 could turn the entire field around tomorrow. If Rick Clunn comes out again without any fish, I'll know for a fact that Ray Scott will forever look down apon Pittsburgh as a financial black hole.
