Worst day of fishing ever!
Well I told you Id let you know how I did tonight, I didnt catch any fish in about half an hour of fishing. And I could only fiah for half an hour, because someone decided it would be fun to break in to my car. They stole my soccerball, a lawn chair, and The face plate to my CD player.... Who steels a ****in face plate... they cant use it for anything, and now I have to get an all new CD player. Not to mention spring for Two new windows. I cant stand people, why cant they just leave other peoples stuff alone? Oh and I waited two hours for the friggin cop to show up and tell me there was nothing he could do. For Gods sake, I could have been fishing for those two hours. Sorry for this, but I am really pissed and needed to vent.....
Well I hope your trips were better -Falko |

What a lousy way to end a fishing trip! I don't know why some folks do crap like that. I'd need to vent, too. Sorry for your troubles, hoss. I wouldn't wish that on anybody. Except maybe the low life that did it to you.

Sorry to hear that,I cant understand why people dont
just work like(most everyone) and buy there own.People work alot and save up money to buy things...and then it gets broken or stolen.I swear if I ever catch anyone or thing breaking into my truck or boat Im f**king stomping a mud hole in his a$$.Beat the hell out of them and call it even... or hook them up behind your boat and drag them through the water,or tie them to a tree and cast your crankbaits at them and set the hook.....yes Im kidding,,,or am I? ;D : Have a great day. ps Chevy Silverado owners,be careful our trucks are #4 on the most stolen vehicles in America :'( |

Sorry about your bad experience. I'm not surprised at all by the cop's reaction. It's a big deal to you, but not to them. They have to prioritize and certainly can't assign detectives when more serious crimes need to be investigated.

Re: Worst day of fishing ever!
Never had that happen to me fishing. But it happened one time while I was small game hunting. Broke into my car and stole my 8-track player and tapes. If I came back and they were in the process of braking into my car I don't know what I would have done with a loaded shotgun. That was 33 years ago. Now I would probably just take down a license plate number or try to remember their identity because you never know if these morons are carrying a weapon.

Re: Worst day of fishing ever!
Denny it may not even be a guy, perhaps a crack head ***** looking for pawnshop cash!
Our whole club had their rods taken out of about 20 boats in a boatdock slip about 10 years ago, most homeowners insurance covers it, at least it did mine. I got 1300 bucks back in about 4 days for my 5 rods. They didn't get my tackle box, I had it up in the cabin. We think they just cruised in the slip on boat and clipped us, my partner and I were down there replacing a trolling motor cable until 2 a.m. and then about 6 a.m. went out to pre fish and discovered our tackle gone. > |

Re: Worst day of fishing ever!
I had a similar thing happen to me, we went to this little river by my house and took our ultralight gear. We spent about 4 hours wading the river caught a bunch of bass and perch. When we returned to my truck someone had broken into it by smashing my passenger window and took all the money and credit cards out of our wallets as well as the stereo out of my truck. I was soooooo freaking pissed I could have killed someone.

Re: Worst day of fishing ever!
one of the guys i work with had some one smash the back window in his truck cap. they stole all of his tackle 2 tackle bags and 15 rods. in a walmart parkinging lot in broad daylight. on his way to the tourny. when he finally got to the launch the other guys loaned him a couple of rods and a small hand ful of tackle. long story short he won the tourny.
