Well it look like the vikings and colts both forgot they were playing football today. I think the best is yet to come. Steelers vs Pats.

Re: Who is ready for some football?
I'm a huge Vikings fan. But as of latley they have let me down again! > This just plain o'l sucks, they are getting just as bad as the Bills!. :'( I'll give them one more year and I might have to switch teams to root for. So till then if you team is still in, good luck and see you next year!.

Re: Who is ready for some football?
It just goes to show you that until the colts win home field advantage throughout playoffs, they will not win the super bowl or even get there.
They cant play in the snow. This year and last year they completly stunk in there playoff games. It was cold and snowing in both games. They should take off the dome and make it a stadium. The weather is what makes it more fun to watch. |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Trigr,
The new stadium will have a retractable roof. And Yes we can play in the snow, two years ago we beat denver in more snow than both patriot games put together. We just didn't have anybody that wanted to catch the ball. Kybasser |

"Not in our house!"
Don't be cocky though, next weekend is steeltown. Can the steel curtain stop Corey Dillon, who didn't play in the game earlier in the season? Can the Patriot's defense force turnovers? Can Vinatieri come through when it really counts? How will Ben respond to pressure? I hope it's a great game! |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Yes, once again the Pats kicked our collective butt's I really thought it would be a great game, but the Pats just DOMINATED the Colts period. I was very disappointing to watch. Great season, but as I said to a few close friends, records aren't superbowl rings So lets get a few of those, starting as soon as we get a run defense :P

Re: Who is ready for some football?
When are the Colts going to buy a defense?? Until they get one, it doesn't matter how good the offense is, they won't get past the solid teams. Â*The Pats defense simply controlled the Colts, and their offense controlled the Colts D... Â*Even a great offense can't score when it's standing on the sideline :P

Re: Who is ready for some football?
A good offense sells tickets, a good defense wins games. Roethlisberger has choked the last few games under all the pressure(he's a rooky anyway). If he plays as well as he can tomorrow, I think the steelers might have the game. Either way, there are going to be two great games to watch tomorrow.

Actually somewhere around page 2-5 someone brought up that this may be the longest running thread w/ constant activity since the site started. Besides bassin- football is something to talk about. 8)

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Still unclear whether it will actually be snowing during gametime. Windchill looks like it will be present though.
-20 windchill where I live... I was standing outside for a minute in short sleeves. Seriously, if I lived in Florida, they might look at me funny for wearing shorts on a nice 50 degree day. |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Yes! Go Pats, they beat the Steelers! The defense struck early and set up the offense right for a DEION BRANCH 60 YARD TOUCHDOWN.
After a nice Adam Vinatieri 48 yard field goal against the wind. Many NFL fans call them overrated, many say they are just lucky... but either way they have a good shot at winning their third in four. |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
I think that the eagles may just win the game. I know the pats are great and all, yada yada yada. The eagles will be able to stop the pats running game easy enough, so brady and the recievers are going to have a lot of pressure on them. I think if the Eagles score a quick touchdown or two at the beginning of the game, it will be theirs.
