Re: Who is ready for some football?
man did TO play good for having screws in his ankle. to bad donavan mcnabb played like sh*t. if they would of gotten that onside kick i think they might have won. then they had a terrible 2 minute drill. they were walking to the line. acting like that doesnt deserve the lombardi trophy. at least i got 10 dollars now. did any one vote for MVP. i voted for deon branch and he was awarded the MVP. i was close on the score except i thought that the eagles were gunna have 24 and the pats were gunna have 21 but i was close.

Re: Who is ready for some football?
All I can say is refer to page 10, 13th reply down. I kinda sound like Jimmy the Greek. Very good game, both teams played very well. Commercials and half-time show not as good as usual. 8)

Re: Who is ready for some football?
The halftime show was way better than usual. Maybe a bit boring in the beginning, but there wasn't any crap that made my eyes sink back into their sockets (say like Aerosmith and Britney Spears for example).

Yeah, I didn't end up sticking a sharp stick in my eye this time... lol. Heck, even though this season is over, lets keep this thread going through the drafts and into next year. |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Maybe NOW the Patriots will get some more respect as champions.
Or not, and they can win again next year |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
I think they've had respect, they have had their act together for the past 4 years. They also deserve to be recognized as a dynasty, although I think it would be a stretch to relate them to say the Packers of the 60s or the Cowboys of the 70s.

Re: Who is ready for some football?
i will give them a little respect...........but they have absolutly NO class. they start moking TO's move then they copy hienes ward by coping TO. let me tell u they are realllllllllllll original. i bet they dont get to thye super bowl next year. i think it will be the jaguars and the packers

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Of course I'm gonna say the pack makes it to the superbowl next year, but thats blind optimism cause I'm a huge fan of them. I think the steelers should make it next year. During the playoffs the steelers didn't do as well cause their QB was a rookie, and he crumbled under the pressure. Next year I believe that the steelers will be able to clinch the AFC title and go to the superbowl, because their QB will have had more experience under pressure.

Re: Who is ready for some football?
I think Roethlesberger was injured by the time he faced the Pats the second time. I seem to remember he had a problem with his throwing hand.
I look for it to be the Steelers and the Eagles, at this time at least. Wouldn't be shocked if the Falcons made it though. I'm not sure if NE can keep it up, it just historically doesnt happen much. |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
No offence to you Steeler fans, but until they can prove they can win the AFC Championship, they won't make it. They have had a great team for several years, but can't make it to the dance, even with the best record in the league(more than once) I believe they will sometime, but they keep repeating the same thing, go home and WATCH the superbowl. My Colts are the same way(except they don't have a defense) They just can't seem to make it over the hump. That is one of the main reasons I have SO MUCH RESPECT for the Patriots, they just keep doing it year in and out. I think Brady is as good as it gets in a BIG game, you just can't argue with his results. Yeah Peyton is a great quarterback, but until he wins a superbowl, he's just like Dan Marino, one guy can set records, but a team wins the superbowl.

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Well I was kind of joking about the respect thing... yeah. Wasn't meant to be taken literally...
The Patriots have a lot of class. They were just showing that you don't have to be all over the media to make catches. Remember, Rodney Harrison had more catches that game than Freddie Mitchell ;D |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
well...............cant think of his name right now he's on the chiefs and returns kicks. he does the X and u dont see all the other teams mocking him. TO has his wings and whats his name has his X the patriots should try to come up with there own thing instead of not taking other peoples.

Re: Who is ready for some football?
I just like to see them do some of the things you don't typically see in a normal game.
I liked that punt fake right at the beginning... ha ha Vinatieri missed a 41 yard field goal attempt? Heh, must have been in a lazy mood 8) He got the 44 though |

Re: Who is ready for some football?
Got to go to the first spring practice in Tuscaloosa last week. I tell you what, it was more interesting than the spring game just seeing how tight the ship was and how they organized the deal. BTW, we are still recovering from injuries. Ken Darby, our 1st string runningback has a cracked pelvis...there is some talk that his career could be in jeopardy....
