Default First bass of the year!!!

These are the 2 that I caught today. Not very big, but I don't care. I was out to have some fun.

Caught this one on a black willow leaf spinner. Weighed in about 1 pound

First bass I have ever caught on a Rattle Trap!! Weighed in at 2 pounds. Check out the colors on this baby!!

Great fish buddy! Â*you fishing on Wylie or a feeder? Next time you go back.... Looking at that water color... Throw you a chartruesse, parrot, or fire tiger patern... If you caught those, some hogs are in the vecinity... Great success this season!

I don't see why everyone is questioning the weight. It just amazes me that people can tell weight by pictures. Next time I will hold them way out from my body so they look bigger than they actually are.

To answer your question Chip, I was fishing on Mt. Island Lake. It is the lake right above Wylie.

Those are nice looking fish. Nice bright colors, nice to see those after fishing in a mud pond and getting literal "black bass"

bassbooger,

Great Job! Don't worry about the folks giving you crap about the weight, you got the leg up on the season and thats what matters. I can't wait to hit the water this coming weekend.
