First bass of the year!!!
These are the 2 that I caught today. Not very big, but I don't care. I was out to have some fun.
Caught this one on a black willow leaf spinner. Weighed in about 1 pound First bass I have ever caught on a Rattle Trap!! Weighed in at 2 pounds. Check out the colors on this baby!! |

Great fish buddy! Â*you fishing on Wylie or a feeder? Next time you go back.... Looking at that water color... Throw you a chartruesse, parrot, or fire tiger patern... If you caught those, some hogs are in the vecinity... Great success this season!

I don't see why everyone is questioning the weight. It just amazes me that people can tell weight by pictures. Next time I will hold them way out from my body so they look bigger than they actually are.
To answer your question Chip, I was fishing on Mt. Island Lake. It is the lake right above Wylie. |

Those are nice looking fish. Nice bright colors, nice to see those after fishing in a mud pond and getting literal "black bass"
