Default Finally I Caught One

To most on this board one is a laughing number. But to someone who has not caught a bass in over two years, it was the best bass in the world!!! It was my happiest day this year.

It has also been a long time since I have wriiten on this board, but when you don't catch anything there is no point. I know everything I need to know to catch; I have read books, watched the shows, gathered tips online, anything you could imagine to be knowledgable on the lake. But I coulc catch any till last friday, and it meant the world to me.

Still,

Oh NO,

LOL, that would be SORRY. Nah, the closest lakes are about 1hr 30min away. I can't go often because I am a college student which means lack of money and time. Also gas prices are to high, and with no income for the time being, no money for gas. But when I get a job then I won't have time to go fishing anyway, because then when I don't work I will need to be studying. . .AAhhh. Anyway I put it, I will lose out on fishing.

When I do go it is MAYBE once a month, I hadn't gone fishing in about three months, before friday.

Absolutely not. There are many times I have fished several hours and caught one and was happy to get it. Glad you got out, and congrats on the fish! How big was it?

All these showed that you are a real fishman! you've the PATIENCE. I think this bass meant a lot to you. It helps you to build up your confidence, which is very important in future. I hope from now, you can catch bass constantly. You will!

Any way, congratulate!

It was 12.5in long weigh 2lbs. But to that was still the greatest fish ever. I was using a Gary Yamammotto Fat Ika. Even though that Fat Ika got beat up by the Bass I will keep forever, and maybe reuse one more time. Yes I am a freak I know, LOL; thanks for all the replys, and words of encouragement.

Man what was the girth on that thing. 12.5" at 2 pounds.

Oh yeah congrats. I just started this summer and fished everymorning and didn't catch my first one till July during hurrican Dennis's low pressure.

Welcome to my world, every Bass I catch is the greatest too. Hope you catch a bunch more, and can fish more often. You'll find that you make time for those things you really want to do. You can surely find some fishing spots closer than 1.5 hours away. Just gotta look harder. Again congrats, and keep fishing.
