Been waiting for this weekend for a while

Ready to go Saturday morning, the bottom falls out >

Sunday morning the same damn thing >

It is suppose to clear Monday, rain/shine, I'm fishin'!

Problem is:

I have never caught fish after a rain, any tips.

I will be fishin' a dammed bayou... max depth: 10'
Plenty of Cypress trees
It is stocked w/ Florida's.

Prior to rain bassin was tough, real tough.

If the water is up fish shallower and tighter to cover. If it is raining the fish will pull out from cover because it is darker and will get more active because the rain adds oxygen to the water. Soft plastics, topwaters, and lipless crankbaits can all be great lure choices on days like that.

the rain really doesnt do to much to fish. they might move shallower or under trees to feed on falling insects. the main thing to worry about is barometric pressure. was that a cold front? if so, then i would try a pig n jig real close to the cypress trees. try to find an odd patch of cypress trees that stand out from the rest. and make multiple casts to it. the fish will have lockjaw, and multiple casts and precise accuricy will be vital. if that doesnt work, try deadsticking a plastic worm naer or in vegitation. i recently read that after a cold front, bass will hold to or in green vegitation over anything else. this doesnt mean that they will travel miles to find it, but if there is some around then i would fish it thouroly(sp). if that was just a rain shower then maybe you will find some bass shallow, but no other dramatic changes. occur

Go shallow if there was a lot of rain and not to muddy,
but if it was lightning I'd pull off the bank to the first drop..3-5 or 5-7 or deeper
