long before depth finders a old fellow named Homer Circle was indeed the bass fishermans guru. He was one of the first to figure out lake depths and bass migration and habitat. They used to take him to a lake he'd never seen , show him a map of all creeks and depths, and by the end of the day he would produce a bigger fish than any of the locals had ever seen. If Homer Circle wrote it you can bet is has good info. the guy is a legend among bass writers, and a good read, too.
