Vicious Whiz-Bang Lure Rumors

I just wanted to let you know that there is talk about a big Japanese Tackle company consulting on purchasing the company who currently makes the Whiz-Bang Lures. We all came to know and respect this product as a vital piece in our tackle packs and a rare find for this site. There has been mention that the limited edition collector series will be discontinued. The lure just wouldn't be the same if it is taken over by a larger company from overseas. That is all I have on it. > P N J

IL, I will buy all of the extras you want to get rid of.Just let me know what you have got to have for them. As Tom said , I don't think I will buy anymore if the company is sold. The first thing they will do is make them cheaper to make more money. I would rather them buy Zookers Zook N Stein spinnerbaits than to lose the Whiz-Bang lure. :-[ P N J

Well p-n-j. I got 4 chrome, 2 gold chrome, only 1 black. I would prolly trade a chrome straight up if you got a white one.

IL, I will trade you my white one although its quite used, it has seen a fish or 2. ;D I have 2 Limited edition heritage Whiz-Bang still in the cherry presentation case, so if you want one I can part with one. If they discontinue the limited edition series, it could become valuable over time. Man I can see them everywhere with the big Japanese lure price tag and people will buy them right and left for that wicked price. If they only knew what was what they would stock up on whats left before the big change. I wonder if you will get the instructions in Japanese with the new ones ? :-/ P N J

when they 1st came out they came in that leather pouch with weird hook protecters(covers ???)..i found one with a white front and red back..it was in an old tackle box that belonged to my uncle.it was given to me on his demise.

i have to engraved gold plated with silver inlay one says "property of bill dance 1974" the other says "property of dion hibdon 1991" it is a green crawdad color with mother of pearl inlay and gold hooks. Â*
the bill dance one is in a presention box -walnut- the one i got from dion is wrapped up in a monographed snot rag has a DH in gold lettering.

fat and dirty, you can purchase the limited edition extra chrome plated whiz bang at the local small tackle shop, behing the live minnow tank between the times of 3:40 a.m and 3:43 a.m on the 3rd tuesday of the 3rd, and 6th months of the year. be sure to be packing atleast $350. and be sure to have your official decoder ring ready, along with a false identity. your baitmonkey will also be comendeared for 3-6 weeks as it has to be debreifed, because once you have one whiz bang, it will be hooked. its like nicoten for your baitmonkey.

There is 2 ways to get a Whiz-Bang lure.You will have to instant message JackL or IL Bassin, and they can give you information on the lure and take orders if you want a lure. Be sure not to hold off too long because there might be a freeze on the sales of the lure since there is a company pending sale. You will not regret emailing inquires and buying the lure. I just wanted to personally thank those 2 guys for as much committment to a great lure. My hats off to you. ;D P N J

Just like that zebco commercial my dad handed over to me his first whiz bang. It is now encassed in glass. I only have one daughter and no son(s). She doesn't fish. So if someone wants to write me a letter and tell me why their son deserves it, I'll be glad to hand it down once again.

I still am in disbelief about the whole thing happening here.You know whats going to happen, the body will be modified and they will certainly change the old school style hook hangers on it, most likely put those light weight chrome colored hooks on it and a unbelievable paint finish probably complete with realistic eyes and not only will it look different ,its got to change the way it catches fish also.Soon everyone will not even reconize it as being an american dream once thought up by a group of fisherman who actually fish, not just sit behind a computer dreaming and designing the next gotta have lure.We buy Billions of dollars worth of imported fishing tackle every year. :'( P N J

Where can you read about this rumor because it's still just a "rumor"? If I can find out if it's not a rumor then I will get all that I can get my hands on.

Â* Â* I don't think you have to worry about the rumors. Japan is trying to outlaw bass as a non-native species of fish, claiming that it is invasive and damaging to thier natural food fish. The local bass fishing population is not allowed catch and release, they have to keep whatever they catch. Eventually there will be no bass in Japan, and they will not need bass lures. All thier bass fishermen will come over here by sneaking across the border with the rest of the illegal alians. Once they are here, they will inundate bass fishing completely and will have a hate for thier former country for outlawing bass that they will boycott Japanese made fishing lures. The Japanese fishing lure industry will go broke and return once again to making cars for the stupid American "Yuppies"

tom is right pnj is part blue tick at sniffing out a wizz bang.i have got a couple off il but the fossil refuses to discuss my ablity to pay for them. -i think he is senile my self-i have checked my supply of them and white are the most popular color's i have. right next to the purple and red ones.
