spiderline for my spinning reel?
I wanted to start pitching and flipping with a spin outfit.
I know I should use a baitcaster for this but Im more confortable with a spin outfit.on the spool the line capacity reads 270yds-8lb-230yds-10lb-200-12lb.I want to throw into heavy cover ,can I use like the spiderline on this outfit? I bought the Quatum Nitrous rod and reel combo 7ft rod. Thanks in advance for the info. Denny ps I went back 5pages for answers and nothing |

Re: spiderline for my spinning reel?
DENNY,
If you are more comfortable with a spinning outfit, that is what you should use. You will be able to flip and pitch farther with a spinning outfit than with a bait caster. If you know how to feather your casts, it will be very accurate. The only suggestion that I have is to make sure you have all the slack out of the spool and close the bail manually to eleminate line loops. You should be able to to use heavier line than the 12 lb, I would suggest 30 lb. test or above if you are using braid. JackL |

I fish with several guys who do that. I must say that Spiderwire des not perform real well on spinning gear. PowerPro handels better on it. JMO Charles |
