Canyon Lake (TX.) & Upper Guadalupe River
CANYON LAKE: Water gin clear; 65-67 degrees; 909':
Largemouth are very good along gravel flats in 3'-6' using green pumpkin Snap Back lizards (www.canyonlakefishing.com), No. 46 (crawfish) Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and watermelon/red Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com) w/tails dipped chartreuse using a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.canyonlakefishing.com) fished along the edge of flooded buckbrush. Smallmouth are good on chartreuse 7/16 oz. Terminator tungsten spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), chartreuse Craw Tubes, pumpkin Crawfish Jr. (www.slidingweight.com) and rootbeer/green flake 3" Hula Grubs. White Bass very good on chart. 2" Gulp grubs (www.canyonlakefishing.com), chartreuse Road Runners and live minnows. Crappie are good in 8'-15' of water on live minnows, 1/32 oz. white Curb's crappie jigs and 2" Curl Tail grubs.
