Default This is really sad

Isn't this just about the sadest thing ya ever saw? When I was pulling the old gal up beside the garage she said to me, "say it aint so Dog". Sadly I had to tell her, yes it's so, but we'll be together again come spring. She just kinda nodded that she agreed, but I could tell she was taking it pretty hard. I think before it's bed time I'll show her a few pics of some great memories we shared this past year and give her a hug. I think that will make it a little easier on the old gal.

Maybe if you put a blanket on her to help with the cold weather this winter it will help her get over it.

I was going to post a pic of my boat with the SNOW on it - that was SAD - but thought better of it. But I am about ready to winterize it and resign myself that I'm done until sometime in March.

Bummer, Keith. That is sad! Ours has already been in hibernation for the past two weeks. It's the only time she gets to be indoors all year, but it lasts for 6-7 months. At least she has "Red" and "John" to keep her company until we get back up there in April.

I would never cover my boat up in the garage. That would keep me from going out there once a week to sit in it and pretend.

A 4.5 hour drive (one way) is a long way for me to travel just to sit in it and pretend. When I want to pretend, I just go back and re-read this thread or this one or. . .

Such a sad sight. I've put the rods and reel up for the year as well. Hopefully I'll do some ice fishin this year though, sounds like fun, and a good way to get a mess of bream for eatins!

I heard he is coordinating and getting another DISH installed that is compatible with his 1197, so he has the best of both worlds.

Sorry you northern boys have to pack your stuff up for the winter. I will be sure to take a second of remembrance while I am on the water for the rest of the year.

I'm making preparations for winterizing mine this weekend. It is sad, and I hate to do it when there is still soft water out there but I'll be busy with work all of November. It's definitely one of the worst tasks of the year for me since I don't hunt much and don't enjoy ice fishing. Maybe I should head back down South.

Hey Bender.....C'mon down!! you're the next contestant on The Life is Right!!! I wouldn't move back up to an Iced over state if you doubled my income. There are some things money just can't buy.......like water skiing on Christmas Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I sensing Cabin Fever's first victim this year???

Those are some sad, sad stories fellas. Makes me that much more thankful that I never have to put my boat up. Gotta love warm water discharge lakes
