Default garlic scent on crankbait hooks?

This is just an idea,I was wondering what would happen
if you dipped your crankbait hooks in that (yellow) garlic
scented dye.......I remind you this is justa thought.I was thinking it would maybe leave a nice trail of a scent???
has anyone ever tried this,If not yellow any clear scents? cause I was thinking that yellow would prob. stain the hooks...badley?
thoughts from a cup of coffee

I tightly wrap on a piece of chenille pipe cleaner and add scent to that,I mostly use red or green, but the colors of pipe cleaners are endless.wally world or craft stores sell them about .99 cents for 100,wrap around hook tightly, then snip, works great for me

I've put scents on fast moving baits like cranks and spinnerbaits but haven't seen a difference like I do with soft plastics, but there is one way to find out-give it a run and see what happens.

Denny
Here's a Tip:
Unkie Estil says take a big garlic clove and tie couple o trebles to it and chuck it in da water!
In other words experiment!

Back in the day before they came out with scented plastics the guys I fished against used to soak their Culprit worms the night before in a baggie of either salt, garlic , or liqourice
I have always been a believer in salt, like my fav claw the Gene Larew black n blue or green with orange tips..
